The Renault Type AQ was an early racing car model from Renault . It was only available with a light, two-seater structure.
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on June 18, 1907. The predecessor was the Renault Type AK and the successor to the Renault Type AT . A total of four vehicles were built.
A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 155 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 90 hp from a displacement of 12,076 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 126 to 147 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
The vehicle weighed 1100 kg.

Ferenc Szisz , Dimitriévitch and Caillois fielded three vehicles at the French Grand Prix , which took place on July 7, 1908 at the Circuit de Dieppe in Dieppe . Sergey Dimitriévitch finished eighth and Gustave Caillois fifteenth, while Szisz had to retire.
