The Renault Type FD was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 9 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on December 19, 1919. Renault Type EK (slightly smaller) and Renault Type AG can be seen as predecessors . Production ended in 1920. In 1922 the small car Renault Type KJ followed .
The water-cooled two - cylinder engine with a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 120 mm had a displacement of 1206 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 36 km / h to 48 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
The turning circle was given as 9 meters. The chassis weighed 540 kg. The only surviving body variant was a landaulet . The Parisian taxi company Compagnie Générale des Voitures à Paris used the vehicle as a taxi .
