The Renault Type ET was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 40 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on February 27, 1914. The predecessor was the Renault Type DQ . In 1917 production ended without a successor.
A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 130 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 40 hp from a displacement of 8495 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 67 km / h to 96 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 374.3 cm and a track width of 145 cm, the vehicle was 503.5 cm long and 176 cm wide. The turning circle was specified as 14 to 15 meters. The chassis weighed 1350 kg. The choices were torpedo , limousine and landaulet .
