The Renault Vivastella Grand Sport was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . The type code was Type ABX .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on October 5, 1934. As a sporty variant of the Renault Vivastella and Renault Vivasport , the model had no predecessor. Production ended on March 8, 1935. The numbers remained low. The successor was the Renault Viva Grand Sport .

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 80 mm bore and 120 mm stroke had a displacement of 3619 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft .

The headlights were integrated into the front fenders . The oval grille was divided vertically. There were three horizontal vents on the sides of the hood. The following aerodynamic bodies were available: sedan with six seats for 39,000 francs , two different convertibles with six seats for 42,000 francs and 44,000 francs and a Pullman body with nine seats for 41,000 francs. The latter version was based on the chassis of the Vivastella Type ZA 3 .
