The Renault Type FS was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 18 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on November 20, 1919. The predecessor was the Renault Type FE . The successor Renault Type HG followed in 1920 .
The water-cooled four - cylinder engine with 95 mm bore and 160 mm stroke had a displacement of 4536 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 64 km / h to 84 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 355.5 cm and a track width of 150 cm, the vehicle was 484.5 cm long and 176 cm wide. The turning circle was specified as 14 to 15 meters. The chassis weighed 1000 kg, the complete vehicle 1900 kg. The choice was between touring car and sedan .
