Renault Espace

The Renault Espace is a five-door MPV that was manufactured by Matra from March 1984 to October 2002 and has been produced by Renault since November 2002 . Of the up to seven seats in the interior of the Espace, five can be individually removed, all seven of the models in the III and IV series. Since the V series, the rear seats have been lowered into the interior.

Manufacturing locations

Up to the third generation, the vehicles were manufactured in the Matra plant in Romorantin-Lanthenay , Loir-et-Cher in the central French region of Sologne , at times supplemented by the Alpine plant in Dieppe .

The fourth generation from autumn 2002 to 2014 was manufactured by Renault at the Sandouville plant in north-west France , where the Vel Satis and Laguna II were also manufactured.

With the fifth generation, production was relocated to the northeast of France, to Douai . The Talisman , Scenic and Grand Scenic are also produced there.
