The Renault Type AJ was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 8 CV .

description

Renault had launched two similar models, Renault Type Y and Renault Type Z , in 1905 . They differed in the engine power with the same displacement . Only the Type Y (b) with a long wheelbase was still offered in 1906. The Type AJ offered from 1906 to 1909 was based on this model . However, the engine was throttled. It was a commercial vehicle .

A water-cooled two - cylinder engine with a 100 mm bore and 120 mm stroke produced 8 hp from a displacement of 1885 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft .

The wheelbase is not recorded, but that of Type Y (b) was 262 cm. Pickup and box vans have been handed down.
