The Renault Type AS was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 20/30 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on March 12, 1909. The predecessor was the Renault Type V and the successor to the Renault Type BY , which appeared at the end of 1909.

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 100 mm bore and 140 mm stroke produced 20 to 25 hp from a displacement of 4398 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 70 km / h to 93 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 318 cm and a track width of 126 cm, the vehicle was 421 cm long and 156 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 13 meters. The chassis weighed 950 kg. There was a choice of double phaeton and landaulet .
