Renault Laguna III (type T) is the third generation of the mid-size car Laguna by Renault .

Model history

In October 2007, the third generation Laguna came on the market. It was developed in cooperation with Nissan and is identical in many parts to the Nissan Altima .

In addition to the hatchback sedan and the Grand Tour station wagon, which will be available from March 2008 , there has also been a coupé since November 2008, the first since the Renault Megane I Coupè. The body of the coupé is shorter (−52 mm) and flatter (−40 mm) than that of the sedan. Renault offers the Laguna Coupé at a price similar to that of Fiat-Chrysler 's Alfa Romeo Brera and PSA the Peugeot 407 Coupé.

In addition to a newly developed 3.0-l V6 diesel with 173 kW (235 PS), the 2.0 dCi engines, which were first installed in the Laguna II from spring 2005, were used as drive. All diesel engines - except for the 1.5 dCi - are equipped with a soot particle filter as standard . The slightly throttled 3.5-liter V6 engine with 175 kW (238 hp) from the Nissan 350Z was available as a gasoline engine, which was also integrated in the Espace and Vel Satis , among others . As further options, new two-liter engines with manifold injection and turbocharging and a 103 kW (140 PS) two-liter naturally aspirated engine were offered. The smallest engine was a 1.6-liter engine with 81 kW (110 hp). The V6 engines, however, were only available in the Coupé and Grand Tour.

In the GT equipment variant , Renault offered all-wheel steering for the first time , which enables a turning circle of 10.3 meters. The rear wheels steer by up to 3.5 degrees via an electric motor and an additional tie rod. The all-wheel steering steers in opposite directions up to 60 km / h, above it in the same direction.

Equipment variants

  • Emotion (special series in Germany with simpler equipment)
  • Expression
  • Dynamique
  • Bose (well-equipped special series comparable to Dynamique with Bose sound system)
  • Privilège (in Austria)
  • Exception (in Germany from August 2008)
  • initial
  • GT
  • Sportway (special series in Germany from July 2012)
  • Monaco GP (only 399 times built, 77 of which came to Germany)
  • Limited (special series introduced in November 2014; replaced Expression and Dynamique)

Facelift

In January 2011 the sedan and the Grand Tour were revised. This includes a slightly modified front and darkened rear lights.

The modified coupe came on the market at the end of February 2012. The innovations include a black roof and black exterior mirrors. The all-wheel steering is now part of the standard equipment, as is the LED daytime running lights.

Production of the Laguna ended in July 2015. It was replaced by the talisman from October 2015 . A station wagon followed in spring 2016.
