Renault Fainéant

The Renault Fainéant (R4140) was a truck with a payload of five and seven tons that Renault presented in June 1950. The model was also available as a tractor unit for a total weight of 23 tons. The four headlights for dipped beam and high beam , which were not common at the time, were remarkable . From 1952 the truck had cornering lights . The model was powered by the Renault diesel engine type 572 with 120 hp.

From 1957 the model was only produced by Saviem as Mondragon with five tons of payload and Tancarville with a payload of seven tons and now had a 6-cylinder diesel engine with 6234 cm³ and 105 hp. The brakes were now powered by compressed air and there were hydraulic shock absorbers up front.

From 1964 only the TP10 Tancarville was produced, which now had a 6842 cm³ six-cylinder diesel engine with 150 hp. A retarder was new . In 1967 the production of the series was stopped.
