The Renault GX was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 40 CV .

The national licensing authority granted its approval on November 10, 1920. The model followed the Renault Type HD and was replaced by the Renault Type HF .
The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 100 mm bore and 160 mm stroke had a displacement of 7540 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 71 km / h to 95 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
