The Renault Type ER was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 12 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on November 20, 1916. The predecessor was the Renault Type DM , which was produced until 1914 . The successor Renault Type FK followed in 1917 .

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke developed 12 hp from a displacement of 2121 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 38 km / h to 51 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 306 cm and a track width of 134 cm, the vehicle was 431.5 cm long and 161.5 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 10 meters. Only touring cars for the military have survived.
