Jörg Engelmann

Jörg Engelmann (born September 4, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player . He played in the Bundesliga for VfB Leipzig .

Athletic career

Engelmann made his debut in 1983 for BSG Chemie Böhlen . In 1986 he moved to BSG Chemie Leipzig . With the club, which has now been renamed FC Sachsen Leipzig , he played in the major league at the beginning of the last 1990/91 season before moving to local rivals 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in the fall . With this - now competing as VfB Leipzig - he qualified for the 2nd Bundesliga . At the end of the second division season 1992/93 he rose with the team in the Bundesliga. There he came to three more missions, in the summer of 1994 the team was relegated and he moved to FSV Wismut Gera in the Oberliga Nordost . Engelmann's main job is as a physiotherapist.
