history

Significant finds from the Viking Age have been made in Revsund, dating back to the 11th century. For example, a tablet with runes from the 12th century was discovered, which tells of the bridge on Revsund Lake built around this time. The bridge extends from Revsund to Värviken. It was built in honor of Eskil the Light. Today only remains of her can be found. The plaque says it was over 110 feet, that is, about 35 meters long, and was made of wood and solid granite.
