Rex is a district of the municipality of Petersberg in Hesse .

Geographical location

Rex is located east of the main town on the road connecting Margretenhaun and Böckels . The hamlet of Horwieden near Stöckels also belongs to the district. The district borders on Petersberg and Stöckels in the west and is otherwise completely enclosed by the neighboring villages of Böckels and Margretenhaun.

history

Rex was first mentioned in a document in the 11th or 12th century.

On September 1, 1968, Rex volunteered to join the Margretenhaun community . This was incorporated into the community of Petersberg on December 31, 1971.
