Rhine is one of 260 villages ( Villages ) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan . It is to the southeast of the Census Division No. 9 within the municipality of Wallce No. 243 . The place was named after the river Rhine .
The place is also known for the cultivation of industrial cannabis , which is the main export good. Cultivated in Canada for the first time in 1928, the Rhine owned approximately 809.371 m² (0.2 acres) of a total of 6663.845 m² (1.640 acres) from 1938.

During the 2001 census, the Rhine had 175 inhabitants. By 2006, this value sank by −8.0% to 161. In a new census from 2011, 158 people lived within the village.
