The Rheingau-Taunus-Verkehrsgesellschaft (RTV) is the local public transport company in the Rheingau-Taunus district . She is a partner in the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund .

The RTV was founded in December 1994 by the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis and the 17 cities and municipalities of the district.

On August 12, 2007, the timetable and the line offer in the district were almost completely changed and the offer expanded. A special feature here is the use of on- call buses and a uniform cycle on the core lines at the intersections.

The RTV is only active as a transport authority and ordering organization and does not have its own buses or trains.

In the RTV area there are several bus stations that serve as clock nodes in the integral cycle timetable . These are located in Taunusstein- Hahn, -Neuhof, Bad Schwalbach and Idstein . Subordinate clock nodes may be in Niedernhausen , Breithardt , Geisenheim and Schlangenbad . Furthermore, RTV bus routes intersect at Wiesbaden Central Station , although there is usually no direct connection there.
