Gülibik , also Gülibik the rooster , is a German children's film by Jürgen Haase based on the book by Çetin Öner from 1984 .

content

The film is about the six-year-old Ali, who lives in a village in Central Anatolia, and his best friend, a young rooster named Gülibik, with whom he feels deeply connected and shares joys and worries with him. However, the cozy intimacy of the two has an abrupt end, comes when the family unexpectedly in financial distress and Ali's father after Ali can just make a sale of the animal to prevent the young cock to get money for the Gamecocks formed.

The book Gülibik der Hahn , which is also available in a bilingual edition, was used in Germany as early as 1977 in intercultural youth work with German and Turkish children.
