The Rheinische pension funds (RVK) than pension fund , a public corporation with its own articles of association expertise, its own budget and its own self-governing bodies based in Cologne-Deutz . Its members are cities, municipalities, districts and the Rhineland Regional Council . In addition, other institutions under public law as well as companies and legal entities under private law, provided they perform municipal tasks, are among the members of the RVK.
Since 1888 the Rheinische Versorgungskasse has acted as a service provider for civil servants ; other business areas were added later. The business area of the pension funds is the former Rhine province (parts of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate ). In this area, the Rhenish pension funds take on the following tasks for their members:
- Civil servants' pensions
- Company pensions
- Supplementary pensions
- Wages
- Aid
- Pension reserves.
