The municipal pension funds Westfalen-Lippe (kvw) are as pension fund service provider for the civil service pension for 1,200 municipalities ( counties , cities , municipalities ), municipal facilities (hospitals, public utilities and financial institutions) and municipal companies in Westfalen-Lippe with a total of more half a million Employees (as of December 31, 2018).
The kvw are based in Münster and are a corporation under public law. The basis for their activity is the law on the municipal pension and supplementary pension funds in North Rhine-Westphalia . You are a member of the Working Group on Municipal and Church Pensions (AKA) in Munich.
Services
The municipal pension funds Westfalen-Lippe (kvw) have four business areas:
- kvw civil servant supply
- kvw state aid fund

Members are municipalities and municipal institutions based in Westphalia-Lippe . The kvw offer you the calculation and payment of civil service pensions and grants as well as child benefit . The kvw have the status of a state family fund.
They also advise on and calculate employer-financed company pensions in the municipal public service. Managing directors

The supervisory bodies are the administrative board for matters relating to civil servant pensions, the benefit fund and the family benefit fund, as well as the fund committee for supplementary pensions. The representatives of both committees are each elected for a period of five years from the group of kvw members and, in the cash committee, from the group of insured persons. The current chairman of the board of directors is Claus Jacobi , mayor of Gevelsberg . The chairman of the cash committee is Thomas Gemke , district administrator of the Märkisches Kreis .
