Rhona Dwinger (born June 28, 1971 ) is a former South African javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Rhona Dwinger gained her first international experience in 1992 when she won the bronze medal behind the Kenyan Seraphine Nyauma and her compatriot Liezel Roux at the African Championships in Belle Vue Maurel with a width of 51.28 m . The following year she won the silver medal behind Roux at the African Championships in Durban with 47.60 m and in 1994 she was eighth at the World Cup in Athletics in London with 49.02 m. In 1995 she won the African Games in Harare with a throw of 55.98 m with the old competition javelin. In the following years, Dwinger only competed in national competitions and probably ended her career as a track and field athlete in 2001.

In 1998 and 2000 Dwinger became the South African javelin champion.
