Liezel Roux (born May 25, 1967 ) is a former South African javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Liezel Roux gained her first international experience in 1992, when she won the silver medal behind Kenyan Seraphine Nyauma at the African Championships in Belle Vue Maurel with a width of 52.42 m . The following year she won the African Championships in Durban with 48.24 m and in 1999 she also won the African Games in Durban with 49.38 m. The following year she ended her career as a track and field athlete.

In 1996, 1997 and 1999 Roux was the South African javelin champion.
