The Rißneibach is a 3.5 km long orographically right tributary of the Möhne in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The stream flows completely in the urban area of ​​the town of Rüthen, which is part of the Soest district .

The stream rises about 2.2 km northeast of Rüthen on the south side of the Haarstrang at an altitude of 344  m above sea level. NN . From its source, the stream initially flows in a south-westerly direction. After a river stretch of about one kilometer, the brook crosses under the state road 776 and then turns more southerly. After a river stretch of around 2.3 km, the stream reaches the eastern outskirts of Rüthen, where there is a rainwater retention basin . Below the rain retention basin, a short, nameless stream from Rüthen flows as a noteworthy tributary on the right. After crossing under the state road 776 again, the stream disappears in a canal in which it flows under the federal road 516 and the industrial area at the old Rüthener train station to the Möhne. The mouth is 292  m above sea level. NN . With a height difference of 52 m, the mean bed slope is 14.9 ‰. The catchment area of around 4.93 km² is drained to the North Sea via the Möhne, Ruhr and Rhine .
