Ricardo Brandon (born October 3, 1946 in the Paysandú department , † November 17, 2016 in San Luis Potosí , Mexico ), also known by the nickname Caito , was a Uruguayan football player in the position of a striker .

Life

Brandon started his professional career in 1968 at Liverpool Montevideo and belonged 1971 on the newly formed team of Atlético Español that their gaming operations to succeed the club Necaxa in the 1971-72 season of the Mexican League resumed.

Brandon was under contract with Atlético Español until the end of February 1976 and then moved to league rivals CD Veracruz . The curious thing about this change was that he was used for both clubs on the 18th matchday of the 1975/76 season; first in a meeting of the Toros and only a few days later for the Tiburones Rojos .

In 1978 he moved to Deportivo Toluca and after a two-year stay with the Diablos Rojos , he worked for one season each with the Mexican clubs Atlético Potosino , Atletas Campesinos and CF Oaxtepec .

Brandon, who spent a total of twelve years in Mexico, scored a total of 172 competitive goals for his Mexican employers, making him the most successful Uruguayan goalscorer in Mexico .
