Rich Moore (born May 10, 1963 ) is an American director for cartoons and animated films .

Life

Moore studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts . From 1990 to 1993 he directed 17 episodes of The Simpsons and from 1999 to 2003 71 Futurama episodes. At Drawn Together , he directed two episodes in 2005/2006 and 2009 for the US animated series Sit Down, Shut Up . In 2012 he took over the direction of the Disney animated film Ralph Enough . This was nominated for the Oscar 2013 for best animated film. He also worked as a director for the Disney animated film Zoomania, which was released in 2016 . Chaos on the net followed in 2018 , the sequel to Ralph is enough . He also speaks several supporting roles in his Disney films.

At the 2017 Academy Awards , he and Byron Howard and Clark Spencer won an Oscar in the Best Animated Feature Film category for their work on zoomania .
