Richard Berthold
Richard Berthold (born April 25, 1927 in Weiher ; † August 8, 2007 ) was a German manager and CFO at Audi AG from 1984 to 1988.
Life
Richard Berthold studied economics at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . From 1953 he worked in the operations accounting department of Volkswagen AG . In 1958 he became group leader in the department for cost control, from 1966 head of the department.
In 1978, Berthold was elected chairman of the supervisory board of VAG Leasing GmbH (today: Volkswagen Leasing GmbH) and in the same year was appointed director and head of the investment and corporate planning division. From January 1, 1984 to December 31, 1988, Berthold was Board Member for Finance and Business Administration at Audi AG.
He was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ripuaria Freiburg im Breisgau in the CV .
