Richard Björklund (born August 1, 1897 in Malmö ; † June 19, 1974 there ) was a Swedish painter .

Life

Björklund studied painting from 1919, first in Lund , in 1921 he went to Paris and continued his studies at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière . He visited Berlin in 1923. Later he made further study trips to Italy (1926), France (1928), Dalmatia (1934) and again to Italy (1947).

Works

Björklund's works can be found in the Swedish National Museum , Moderna Museet and at Gripsholm Castle .
