Richard Eberlein
Richard Eberlein (born October 16, 1869 in Groß Salze ; † December 10, 1921 in Berlin ) was a veterinarian , zoologist, doctor and university professor in Berlin.
Life
Eberlein was trained in veterinary medicine in Stuttgart and Berlin. He also completed his medical degree in Berlin. From 1903 until the end of his life he was director of the surgical clinic at the Royal Veterinary College in Berlin. From 1910 to 1912 and from 1919 to 1921 he was rector of the veterinary college. The main focus of his scientific interest was radiology in veterinary medicine. He founded veterinary radiology, became the founder and first president of the German Roentgen Society and head of the first medical radiology congress in 1905.
Eberlein was a Freemason ; he acted temporarily as II. Grand Overseer of the Great Lodge of Prussia called Royal York for friendship .
Rudolstadt corps student
As a member of the Corps Teutonia Berlin, Nicaria and Saxo-Thuringia, Eberlein was one of the gray eminences of the Rudolstadt Senior Citizens' Convention before the First World War . Especially him and Dr. Thanks to Klinger (Franconia Berlin) the bronze statue of a Rudolstadt corps student on the "Anger" in Rudolstadt, which the RSC had decided to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the association in 1908.
