Richard Fritzsche

Karl Richard Fritzsche (born December 10, 1910 in Hohenstein-Ernstthal ; † October 10, 1976 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) was a German journalist and local researcher .

Life

The son of a weaver attended elementary school and business school. He learned the trade of a businessman. As such, he worked in a jersey factory. In the 1930s he was temporarily unemployed, worked as an accountant and as a tram clerk in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Most recently he became a clerk at the local Chamber of Crafts.

In 1953 he took over the management of the Hohenstein-Ernstthal branch of the GDR Cultural Association . As such he took part in the elaboration of the local history.

In his free time Fritzsche was a journalist and occupied himself with literature. He has received several literary awards.

In 1966 Richard Fritzsche became a journalist in the Karl-Marx-Stadt district editor of the newspaper Die Union . He was also an employee of the journal Der Heimatfreund for the Ore Mountains .
