Richard Grady (born April 28, 1955 in Edmonton ) is a retired Canadian ski jumper .

Career

Grady, whose brother Donald was also active as a ski jumper, made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1972/73 . However, after he did not make it into the top 80 in any of the competitions, he only finished the tour in 79th place overall. The Four Hills Tournament 1973/74 went better for him . Grady achieved the best single tour result of his career on Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck with 49th place. In the end, he finished 53rd in the tour's overall ranking.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1974 in Falun , Grady managed 45th place from the large hill with jumps on 82.5 and 86.5 meters. From the normal hill he finished 55th after jumps on 76.5 and 71 meters.

At the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 Grady achieved his overall best result with 49th place in the overall standings, although his individual results could not match those of the previous year. On his last Four Hills Tournament in 1975/76 , in which his brother started internationally for the first time, Grady only competed in two of the four competitions and was 91st in the overall standings four places behind his brother.

At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , Grady landed on the normal hill in 48th place, clearly ahead of his brother. On the large hill, he was also able to prevail against his brother and landed two places ahead of him in 46th place.
