Richard Hunt (puppeteer)
Richard Hunt (born August 16, 1951 in New York City , † January 7, 1992 in Manhattan , New York City) was an American puppeteer , actor and television director .
Life
From 1972 Hunt worked as a puppeteer in Sesame Street (originally Sesame Street ). There he played the characters "Denkedran Jost" ( Forgetful Jones ), "Blaffido Flamingo" ( Placido Flamingo ) and "Don Schnulze" ( Don Music ).
On the Muppet Show , Hunt played Statler , Scooter , Janice , Sweetums and Wayne, among others . In the series The Fraggles he played the main characters "Junior Gorg" and "Gunge".
Richard Hunt died of AIDS in 1992 . The film The Muppets Christmas Story is dedicated to him and Jim Henson , who died in 1990 .
