Richard Joseph Gagnon
Richard Joseph Gagnon (born June 17, 1948 in Lethbridge ) is Archbishop of Winnipeg .
Life
Richard Joseph Gagnon was ordained a priest on June 24, 1983 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Victoria on May 14, 2004 . He received his episcopal ordination from the Archbishop of Vancouver , Raymond Roussin SM , on July 20 of the same year; Co- consecrators were David John James Monroe , Bishop of Kamloops , and Eugene Jerome Cooney , Bishop of Nelson .
On October 28, 2013, Pope Francis appointed Gagnon Archbishop of Winnipeg. The inauguration took place on January 3 of the following year.
