Richard Karn Wilson (born February 17, 1956 in Seattle , Washington ) is an American actor and showmaster .

Life

Richard Karn is best known in German-speaking countries for the role of Albert "Al" Borland in the US sitcom Hör mal, wer der da hammert ( Home Improvement ), which was produced from 1991 to 1999. Al is the assistant to "Home Improvement" Tim Taylor, played by the star Tim Allen . In the role, Karn always wears flannel shirts , the character of Al is often involuntarily funny and regularly acts as the target of Tim's jokes.

Richard Karn can hardly be seen on German television. In the US he had a few appearances in commercials as well as minor roles in films and video productions. From 2002 to 2006 , he hosted several episodes of the game show Family Feud on US television , the German version of which is known as the Family Duel .

Karn is the actress Tudi Roche married to one of the sisters of the series character in six episodes Jill Taylor at times home improvement Listen represented. In 1992 their son Cooper was born.
