Richard Klophaus

Richard Klophaus (born September 20, 1965 in Hamm ) is a German economist and professor of general business administration, transport and logistics at the University of Worms .

Life

He studied at the University of Mannheim and the Schulich School of Business, Toronto. After completing his doctorate, he first worked at Deutsche Lufthansa AG . He then worked as a professor at the Trier University of Applied Sciences for nine years . Klophaus was visiting professor at the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of British Columbia , Vancouver, and received offers from the universities of Trier (2000), Worms (2006, rejected) and Saarbrücken (2009, rejected). Since 2009 he has been Professor of General Business Administration, Transport Economics and Logistics at the University of Worms , Department of Tourism / Transport. In addition to his university activities, he is a board member and spokesman for the Center for Law and Economics in Aviation (ZFL).

Klophaus deals with economic and business issues of air traffic.

He is a member of the editorial board of the "International Journal of Revenue Management", the German Transport Science Society (DVWG), the German Aviation Research Society (GARS), the Action Group for Aerospace-Oriented Companies in Germany (ALROUND), the state's airport conversion work group Rhineland-Palatinate, the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS), the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), partner of the Interest Group for Regional Airfields (IDRF) and Fellow of the Network for Aviation Research and Policy in the Netherlands (Airneth).

He is married and has three children.
