Richard Ludwig Venus

Richard Ludwig Venus (born February 22, 1835 in Apolda ; † November 13, 1873 there ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a judiciary , Venus studied law in Jena after attending grammar school in Apolda . During his studies he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity in 1864 . After his doctorate as Dr. iur. he became an auditor in Großrudestedt . After stints in Eisenach and Weißensee , he was employed by the General Relief Commission in Weimar in 1863 and then became special commissioner in Eisenach in 1865. In 1867 he was appointed Justice and Economics Commissioner. In 1867 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach . In 1873 he became a district commissioner.
