Richard Müller-Mattil

Richard Müller-Mattil (born May 22, 1873 in Sembach ; † December 23, 1961 in Heidelberg ) was a German lawyer, politician and state synod president.

Life and work

Richard Müller-Mattil studied law and received his doctorate in Würzburg in 1895 . He then completed the preparatory service for the higher judicial and administrative service in Kaiserslautern before he entered the Bavarian civil service in 1900. After several positions in various cities in the Palatinate, he was legal counsel in Ludwigshafen am Rhein from 1905 to 1920 . He then worked as a lawyer and was the first state synod president in the Palatinate.

In 1920, Müller-Mattil ran unsuccessfully for the DDP for the office of mayor in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. From 1924 to 1928 he was for the German block of DDP deputy in the Bavarian Parliament .
