Richard Mallié
Richard Mallié (born October 26, 1948 in Besançon ) is a French politician . He was a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2012 .
Mallié, a full-time dental surgeon, began his political career in 1983 as a member of the Bouc-Bel-Air municipal council . The father of three children was politically active and was elected mayor of the municipality in 1989. In 2001 he also moved to the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department . The following year he stood for the UMP in the parliamentary elections in the 10th constituency of the Bouches-du-Rhône department and was elected with 54% of the vote. In 2005 he was promoted to Secretary of the National Assembly. During his first mandate in parliament, he was considered the most active MP in the country. In the following elections in 2007 he was re-elected with 57% of the vote. He was one of the founding members of the La Droite Populaire group within the UMP group, which was launched in 2010 . He ran again for the 2012 elections , but failed with only 38% of the votes at the Green François-Michel Lambert (41%), which was also due to the fact that the FN candidate also reached the second ballot.
