Richard Muck
Richard Muck (born March 26, 1878 in Mostau , † 1945 in Kosmanos ; pseudonym Waldteufel ) was a German forester and writer .
Life
Richard Muck was initially a forest clerk on the estates of Prince Starhemberg and Baron Rothschild , but later concentrated on his work as a specialist and professional writer. He also wrote under the pseudonym Waldteufel . His scientific work The real helianthus and its importance for agriculture, wildlife care and vegetable growing had particular success . He was one of the first to write about the tuber fruit Jerusalem artichoke , which was still unknown in Europe at the time , and which he campaigned for in Austria . His works have been translated into several languages.
