Richard Paul (painter)

Richard Paul (born August 25, 1843 in Breslau , Province of Silesia , † January 18, 1900 in Munich ; real surname Wurst, which he gave up in 1864) was a German painter and writer .

Life

Paul was trained by Wilhelm von Kaulbach at the Royal Art Academy in Munich , among others . Among other things, he designed wall and ceiling pictures in the Reddentin Castle near Stolp (Pomerania), cardboard boxes for two choir windows for the Basilica of San Francesco in Siena . Since 1886 he was a member of the Munich Association for Christian Art .
