Richard Pramotton (born May 9, 1964 in Courmayeur ) is a former Italian ski racer with a French mother tongue.

biography

His strongest discipline was the giant slalom , in which he won three World Cups and made it onto the podium four times. He also achieved a few podiums in the Super-G and in the slalom . In his best season, 1986/87 , he was third in the Giant Slalom World Cup and fifth in the overall World Cup. From 1983 to 1987 he won a total of four Italian championship titles.

At the 1985 World Ski Championships in Bormio , he came 13th in the giant slalom, and in the 1987 Super-G in Crans-Montana , he finished eleventh. Two days later in the giant slalom he was eliminated in the first run, and in the slalom, too, after finishing 22nd in the first run, he did not finish. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , he suffered a meniscus damage in a fall during downhill training and was unable to participate in the competitions.

Pramotton holds a leading position in the winter sports promotion group of the Italian military.
