Richard Reschl

Richard Reschl (* 1949 ) is a German sociologist , urban planner , professor and consultant .

From 1970 to 2010 he was employed by Baden-Württemberg Municipal Development (from 2000 part of the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg ).

Reschl is considered a mediator of urban development processes . He regularly receives orders from municipalities in Baden-Württemberg. He became known in 1997 when he moderated a public participation in Stuttgart 21 . In 2010, the city of Stuttgart once again gave Reschl the moderation of a public participation for the new Rosenstein district of Stuttgart.

From October 2010 to December 2014 Reschl ran the planning and consulting company Reschl und Höschele, Stuttgart, together with the former finance mayor of Tübingen, Eugen Höschele (CDU). The focus is on urban and regional development, economic development and strategic planning. The GbR was converted into the legal form of a GmbH & Co. KG. After Eugen Höschele left the office, Richard Reschl continued to run the office. Co-partner is Günter Schöll, a graduate in business administration. The range of tasks is retained.

Reschl teaches at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (HfT) in the master’s course in urban planning and has been teaching full-time sociology at the University for Public Administration and Finance (HVF) in Ludwigsburg since 1989 .

He is a member of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects .
