Richard Schuhmann

Richard Schuhmann (born August 5, 1938 in Ballenstedt ) is a former German politician ( SPD ).

Schuhmann initially worked as a technical draftsman and partial designer, then he attended the engineering school Joliot-Curie Köthen, where he became an engineer for chemical apparatus construction. After attending the Humboldt University in Berlin , he was a qualified lawyer. Schuhmann years was general counsel in lignite Kombinat Bitterfeld and then at the MIBRAG operates.

From 1990 to 1994 Schuhmann was Deputy Mayor of Delitzsch . There he worked as a lawyer for a few months in 1994. Until June 1991 he was initially non-party, then he joined the SPD. Until July 1994 he was a member of the Delitzsch city parliament and then a district councilor in the district council of the Delitzsch district .

From 1994 to 2002 Schuhmann sat in the German Bundestag . In 1998 he won the direct mandate in the constituency Delitzsch - Eilenburg - Torgau - Wurzen .
