Richard Schumann (politician)
Richard Schumann (born January 12, 1837 in Brandenburg an der Havel , † July 16, 1897 in Schmiedeberg ) was a German Protestant clergyman and parliamentarian.
Life
Richard Schumann studied Protestant theology and philosophy at the Friedrichs University in Halle . and continued his training at the Weißenfels seminar. In 1856 he became a member of the Corps Neoborussia Halle . In 1863 he became a pastor in Jeserig . He has published articles in educational and political journals. From 1873 to 1879 Schumann was a member of the constituency of Potsdam 7 (Westhavelland, Zauch-Belzig) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party .
