Richard stiff sand
Carl Richard Steifensand (born November 12, 1853 in Berlin , † May 3, 1907 in Charlottenburg ) was a German administrative lawyer and police chief in Charlottenburg.
Life
Richard Steifensand was a son of the composer and pianist Wilhelm Steifensand and his wife Dorothea Seyffert. He attended the Friedrich-Werdersche Gymnasium in Berlin and then studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1874 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . From 1876 Richard Steifensand was a trainee lawyer at the district courts in Fürstenwalde , Frankfurt (Oder) and Merseburg , at the district court in Frankfurt (Oder) and at the higher court in Berlin. On December 5, 1882, he became a court assessor and on July 5, 1884 a government assessor for the government in Königsberg . Since 1888 government councilor , he moved to the police headquarters in Berlin. On June 16, 1899 he became police director and on February 1, 1905 police chief in Charlottenburg. He died in the spring of 1907 at the age of 53.
Honors
In 1908 the Steifensandstraße in Charlottenburg was named after him.
