The Richardson Brook Wildlife Sanctuary is a 110 acres (44.5 ha ) comprehensive protected area in Tolland in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It is administered by the Massachusetts Audubon Society .
Protected area
The protected area is bordered in the south by the river that gives it its name. It offers a habitat for three different salamander species and is the location of larger than average red oaks , sugar maples , Weymouth pines , Canadian hemlocks , black birches and American beeches . 2.5 mi (4 km ) of hiking trails are available to visitors.
