Rickard Åkerman (born June 22, 1991 in Eskilstuna , Sweden ) is a Swedish handball player who is currently under contract with the Swedish first division club Eskilstuna Guif .

Career

Åkerman started playing handball in his hometown at HK Eskil. Up to the age of 15 he also played soccer. The left-hander first appeared for the men's team at HK Eskil when he was 16. From the 2010/11 season, the back player ran for Eskilstuna Guif , with whom he competed in the Elitserien . He also took with Eskilstuna Guif in the season 2010/11 at the EHF Challenge Cup and in the seasons 2011/12 , 2012/13 and 2014/15 at the EHF Cup part. In the summer of 2015, the trained carpenter moved to the German second division VfL Bad Schwartau (since 2017 VfL Lübeck-Schwartau ). Åkerman has been back for Eskilstuna Guif since the 2018/19 season.

Åkerman was a member of the Swedish national junior team, but for which he did not play an international match.
