Ricky van den Bergh (born November 17, 1980 in The Hague ) is a Dutch football player . The striker is currently under contract with Sparta Rotterdam .

Career

Van den Bergh began his professional career in 2002 with first division relegated Sparta Rotterdam . At the end of the 2004/05 season, the club rose to the Eredivisie , the top Dutch division. After another year with Rotterdam, he joined the RKC Waalwijk . After he only achieved seventeenth place out of eighteen with these, the club had to go into relegation, where they failed in the playoff against VVV-Venlo . For the following season van den Bergh finally transferred to Heracles Almelo . Almelo transferred € 800,000 to Waalwijk for this transfer. On April 4, 2010 there was a curiosity in the league game against Ajax Amsterdam when van den Bergh went into his team's goal on the 75th minute after the actual number 1 Barry Ditewig received red . For the new season, the attacker developed under coach John van den Brom to a supplementary player. Unsatisfied with the situation, both sides separated again after only 1½ years and the offensive player joined his former employer Sparta Rotterdam in the Eerste Divisie during the winter break of 2010/11 .
