Rico Vetterli is a former Swiss skeleton athlete .

Rico Vetterli was part of the Swiss national team in the 1998/99 and 1999/2000 seasons and competed in the Skeleton World Cup . He contested his first race in November 1998 in Calgary , where he finished eleventh. In the next race he was able to finish eighth in Winterberg for the first time in the top ten. It was also the best World Cup placement, which he was able to repeat again in Cervinia in 1990 . He took part in the skeleton world championships twice. 1989 he was in St. Moritz on his home track in ninth, 1990 in Koenigssee 18th National he won in 1989 in St. Moritz behind Alain Wicki and Markus Kottmann the bronze medal at the Swiss Championships. In 1990 he ended his career.
