reception

Ronny Bittner from the German magazine Rock Hard described Ride the Void as a “high quality distillate from modernity and tradition”. Since the band "with all the variety never forgets the catchy vocal melodies and catchy choruses" Bittner gave 7.5 out of ten points. Anzo Sadoni from the German magazine Metal Hammer praised the band's “solid craft”, but criticized that the band “doesn't write any big hits or catchy tunes” and that singer James Paul Luna is “just an average vocalist”. Sadoni rated the album four out of seven. For Thomas Patsch from the online magazine Stormbringer , the album “undoubtedly has its highlights”, but “unfortunately too seldom can it rise above the crowd”. Patsch rated Ride the Void with 3.5 out of five points. Daniel Køtz from the online magazine CDstarts.de described the album as "the missing link between metalcore kiddies and traditional mat wearers", which was "still a bit uninspired in places", but "solid and technically even great". He gave the album six out of ten points.
