Matt Hyde (American music producer)

Matt Hyde (born June 19, 1964 ) is an American music producer and sound engineer . He also plays guitar and keyboard .

Career

Hyde studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston between 1982 and 1985 . Before he graduated, he started working at Pyramid Studios in Boston. After his university time he played in various bands before embarking on a career as a producer in 1989. He worked with bands like Children of Bodom , Monster Magnet , Porno for Pyros , Slayer and Sum 41 .

The album Chuck by Sum 41 won the Canadian Juno Award in the Rock Album of the Year category. A year later, the album received Turn Around by Jonny Lang the Grammy in the category Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album .
